Room 15
2018-2019 Appreciations
I am so grateful I had the opportunity to have all of you as my students and my friends. I will miss each and every one of you and I hope you come and visit me next year! Thanks for being a wonderful group of Third graders. Best of luck to you in Fourth grade and thank you for being a part of our TEAM!!!!
-Ms. Adele Lawrence
Nicolas: I appreciate you how brave you were in your learning English. You always tried your best to speak in English and were always willing to ask questions so that you could learn new words in English. You taught me so much Spanish and I hope you will come visit me and help me learn even more. I will miss how you would always hug me and say "abrazo" at the end of the day.
Isaiah: I appreciate how much fun you brought to Room 15! You are silly and are a good friend to everyone in the class. You stick up for people when someone is being unkind and that takes a lot of bravery. Remember when the learning gets hard work twice as hard and you can do anything!
Leo: You worked so hard this year on learning new things, and being kind to yourself. You got so much better at reading and math and with hard work I know you will continue to grow. I loved talking about Pokemon and I will miss doing our secret handshake at the end of the day.
Angello: I appreciate how you never let anyone treat anyone else badly in our classroom. You stood up for students who were not being treated right and that is hard to do. You worked hard to become a better learner and if you can remind yourself to focus every second you are in school I know you will go far!
Brandon: I noticed you became more and more brave about sharing out loud with the class. You were a strong restorative leader and you can use that power to make sure others are doing the right thing. Help make Baker a better place by being a role model inside and outside the classroom!
Zoee: I appreciate how you always come to class with a smile on your face. You brighten my day whenever you say "Good Morning Ms. Lawrence!" with a big smile. You put extra work into getting better at reading and math and it showed! Keep up the hard work in fourth grade and you will do amazing.
Valeria: Thank you for always telling me when something did not make sense to you. That helped me know when I had to reteach something so that everyone could understand better. You really wanted to get better at learning and when you tried hard to focus you learned a lot! Keep up the hard work.
Selina: One thing I appreciate about you is your amazing artwork and creativity. Your jokes, comics, drawings, and writings, were unique, just like you. I will never forget the time you made me laugh during mindfulness. I hope you keep working hard on becoming an artist, and I also hope you work hard to focus when it is time to learn.
Mia: Thank you for always being a role model for other students. You showed that you love learning and that you care about helping others learn and solve problems. As a restorative leader I hope you keep looking for problems to solve to help make Baker a better place.
Melanie: Your love of learning and ability to work with anyone in the class was amazing! I am grateful for the way you can teach others what you know in a kind and patient way. Remember there is always more to learn and that teaching others is a good way to learn more. Thanks for always volunteering to help me in class too!
Diego: Thank you for being a good helper to me and other students in the class. You are kind and thoughtful. When you focus you do amazing learning. Remember what Rex said “Nothing is too hard for you, some things just take more work.” Let that guide you in fourth grade, you need to work extra hard to do great learning.
Rose: You made me laugh so much this year just by being silly, wonderful you! I appreciate how when you focus you do amazing learning. You grew so much as a reader and always asked questions in math when you needed help. I can’t wait to see how much you’ll learn in fourth grade!
Emily: This year I watched you get more and more brave and it was amazing. In the beginning you would never share and you were too shy to even ask for help. You worked hard this year to push yourself to learn more and speak up in front of the class. Keep this up next year and you will grow even more!
Porsha: You are so much fun! I love the way you bring joy to our class with your singing, dancing, laughing, and totally unique style. Never let anyone or anything change you. You were so brave to share in front of the class and you have great ideas. Keep sharing them.
Aimee: You are one of the hardest working students I have ever met. Because of your hard work you grew so much in reading and math. I appreciate how you were able to work with anyone in the class and you were able to teach others what you understood. Keep up the hard work!
Keyahni: I appreciate you because you always have funny stories to share. You are so fierce and unique and I love when you let yourself shine. Remember that you are a kind and loving person. Sometimes learning takes extra work so sit in the front, ask questions, and you can go far.
Johsiah: I appreciate all the time you were a teacher in the classroom. You bravely got up explained your strategy during number talks and showed everyone how to do challenging math problems. You worked with partners and taught them math games and kept them focused on learning. Be proud of the leader that you are and continue to love learning and teach others in the future!
Yvette: I appreciate how you worked on your bravery in reading and math. You went from hardly saying a word to reading the morning message to the class. You worked hard to read challenging books and become a better reader. Learning takes hard work; if you keep working hard you will succeed. I will miss our secret handshake at the end of the day.
Gerardo: I appreciate how you worked hard to use your high energy as a power to do great learning this year. When you started taking breaks when you needed you were able to show off how bright you really are. Use your breaks in fourth grade to do your best learning.
Jenny: I will miss how you stick up for yourself and for other students when someone is being mean or doing the wrong thing. You worked hard to share more out loud to the class and you have some great ideas. Keep working hard to be brave and put extra work into your math.
Joey: I appreciate you because of your confidence and enthusiasm in the classroom. You brought so much excitement to our learning environment because you were excited to have conversations. You have a wide array of knowledge, but don’t let that stop you from wanting to learn even more. You got so much better at self control and handling your frustration by asking for breaks before you get too mad. Keep in control, keep craving knowledge, and you can succeed.
Juwon: How am I ever going to learn Spanish without you and Nicolas as my teachers? I appreciate how you work well with others. You got so much more brave and led number talks almost every day. Remember that the only way to learn English is to practice it out loud. Be brave next year and you will learn it so quickly!
Kingston: Thanks for always being my helper. You were always ready to pass out papers, get the lights and the door, help someone who needed help in class. You always saw when someone was frustrated and gave them your own stress ball to help them calm down. Use your goals on your point sheet and remember to ask for breaks when you need them and you will do great in fourth grade.
